Hand Drawn Type- America

Here is a chalkboard that was outside a health shop, I like the different uses of type, however I think the type could be a bit bigger

A chalk board outside a coffee shop, I really admired their logo. The chalkboard is clear and can be read easily from a distance

I really don't like the type on this chalkboard it reminds me of graffiti but looks worse, I like the use of colour though.

A hand painted retro sign over a cafe down sunset boulevard LA

A crazy shop in LA called 'wonder freak' this was their signs for the shop some simple hand drawn chalkboards

A fancy ice cream chalkboard advertising an ice cream parlour, I like how they made the type look cold like ice cream

This chalkboard was really finely detailed something you don't normally see on a chalkboard

Some hand drawn type for a crab restaurant

Venice Beach LA had some of the nicest type ever, everything was so colourful and eye catching, the type was really over powering

This was my favourite hand drawn sign at Venice Beach, I love the use of illustration

A very neat chalkboard with a good layout

A couple of signs in an American grousers, they had really nice illustrations of the veg behind the signs, and simple shadow type

The hand painted ice cream vans in New York, very eye catching

This is piece of Rob Ryan's work projected in Grand Central station, he makes his hand drawn type by cutting out paper
